About Humayun

Software development experience shared through practical help.

I am Humayun Shabbir, a software developer, debugging specialist, and live programming mentor. I help people make progress on real code while explaining the reasoning that makes the solution maintainable.

Experience across technologies and generations of software

More than 20 years of development work has covered Visual Basic, VBA, C#, ASP.NET, WinForms, Xamarin, .NET MAUI, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, SQLite, RFID, barcode systems, and business automation. I also use AI development tools including OpenAI Codex and Claude Code, with verification and engineering judgment kept at the center of the workflow.

After more than 3,700 live mentoring sessions, I have learned that the best technical help does two things: it removes the immediate blocker and leaves the developer better equipped for the next problem.

What this site is for

Humayun.dev is a focused technical knowledge hub. The 4 guides currently published here turn recurring development problems into structured explanations. New content should come from real areas of experience, not from chasing unrelated search trends.

Programming as a hobby

Smalltalk and Squeak remain a programming hobby and a source of ideas about live systems, objects, messages, and exploratory development. p5.js and creative coding provide another way to make software concepts visible and interactive.
